Reactive spray deposition technology (RSDT) is a method of depositing films or producing nanopowders through combustion of metal-organic or metal-inorganic compounds dissolved in a solvent.

The sequence followed during our core experiments is listed in Table 1. First, at ambient conditions, the cores were saturated with brine and porosities were determined (Step 1 of the sequence on the following page).

Pulseless Flow — This is a critical feature for rock core flooding studies where pressure changes are monitored and logged. It is important for the pump employed to not introduce any pressure variations itself (as with a piston pump).

Reciprocating pumps are usually available with single or dual pistons. Piston swept volumes are typically small, around 100μL. Small volumes require frequent refills, creating periodic pressure drops.

Teledyne Isco syringe pumps are well suited for use with CO₂ and provide the best in accuracy and reli- ability. Flow rate accuracy is +/- 0.5 % or better, and flows are pulseless.

Ultra-HPLC uses the same separation methodology as conventional HPLC, but typically uses columns packed with particles smaller than 2μm.

If the fluid is considered corrosive or potentially damaging to the pump, an accumulator or transfer cyl- inder is sometimes used. An accumulator has a bladder.

Reduction of aromatic nitro compounds with iron is a facile way to convert an aromatic nitro group to the corresponding amino group in the presence of an aryl halide.

This application note illustrates ease of scale-up and ease of control of a reaction that in batch would require careful incremental addition of reagents.

α-Bromination of ketones is an important reaction in organic synthesis as the resulting α-Bromo- ketones are widely used in organic synthesis as valuable reaction intermediates used in the synthesis of variety of biologically active compounds.
