Example: Flow-Through Ester Hydrolysis under Superheated Conditions
This Application Note illustrates how the R-2 pump/injector and R-4 flow reactor modules can be readily used to perform flow-through chemistry under superheated conditions.
In this example, performing the simple ester hydrolysis of the ethyl ester 1 to the benzoic acid 2 under superheated conditions is shown to increase throughput and/or reduce the reaction time.
